How do I become a member of Calvary Baptist Church?
By Profession of Faith and Baptism: If you have received Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior (Romans 10:9-10), and follow Him in baptism by immersion (Romans 6:4-5), you will be welcomed into our fellowship. Your response to God's call can be shared publicly at the close of any worship service, and our ministerial staff is available for counsel, if needed.
By Letter: If you have membership in another Baptist church, we will be pleased to welcome you into our church family if God directs you here. Membership transfer details will be taken care of by our office staff.
By Baptism from Another Denomination: If you have confessed Jesus as Lord, but have not followed His example in baptism by immersion, we invite you to join our fellowship throught this ordinance. This ordinance serves as a testimony of your salvation, and your obedience to His direction.
By Statement: If former church records are not available for transfer of membership, or if you come from another denomination on statement of baptism by immersion, we will accept your statement of salvation and baptism for membership.
By Watchcare: If you belong to another church, but have residence in our community for a portion of the year, you may desire to come under watchcare membership during the time that you are in this area.
You may express your desire to join our church by sharing your decision with one of the ministerial staff at the close of any of our worship services. You may also call the church office at (863) 324-4262, Monday through Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and make an appointment to see a pastor. A New Members class is held every two months for 4 weeks on Sundays at 9:45 AM. All new members and prospective members are asked to attend this class taught by the Pastor. We look forward to your comitment,faithfulness inprayer, service and participation in the Lord's work here at Calvary Baptist Church.
